About First Stage Theatre Company
Our mission
The mission of First Stage Theatre company is to provide opportunities for children to develop social and communication skills through participation in the performing arts and to promote fine arts education through the presentation of theatrical productions to children and families in our community.
How we accomplish our mission
FSTC meets this mission by providing meaningful opportunities and character-building experiences to local children who are interested in the arts. This is accomplished by producing quality shows with the help of trained and experienced theatre professionals who have a heart for children. Another goal of FSTC is to hire local artists for shows and events. This builds community and creates friendships among local artists who make a living performing and teaching their craft.

First Stage Theatre Company was founded in 1990 as a children's theatre company. FSTC began with a vision to provide theatrical experiences for children and youth in the Tri-State area. FSTC is currently in its 32nd season. First Stage produces 3-4 full length productions each season. These productions are staged using predominately K-12 children as actors and technicians. First Stage has a long history of enhancing the livability of the local community by providing musical productions and plays for audiences and, at a substantial discount, school children in the greater Huntington/Tri-State area.
